Believe it or not...you may have many products hanging around the house that are great for cleanig Bakelite jewelry. In fact, any cleaner containing ammonia will work: Windex, Turtle Wax Super Hard Shell are fairly common. You can use just plain old ammonia too! Saturate a cotton swab with the cleaner and swab the Bakelite, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Do Not, however, rinse Bakelite jewelry that includes rhinestones. Wipe the jewelry with a clean, damp cloth instead, being careful not to wet the stones.
